Dave Thorson, MD

Dr. Thorson brings with him more than 30 years of experience as a family practice physician and former interim chief medical officer and medical director at Riverland Community Health. After completing medical school at the University of Minnesota, Thorson finished three years of residency and one year of sports medicine at Hennepin County Medical Center. Following his appointment to Interim CEO, Thorson said, “I’m excited to be at UFM (now Riverland Community Health) to help lead and continue the mission to serve the community in the West 7th neighborhood.” Thorson is a positive addition to our leadership team, he knows Riverland Community Health, and he is committed to our refreshed mission to provide high quality, accessible, and culturally responsive care to our community.
